Arrange Charcuterie Boards Properly

Charcuterie boards are required every now and then. Apart from using it on holidays, I also use it for parties and picnics.

They are available in all shapes and sizes, and I like to keep a variety of them. You can lean it against a wall in the kitchen counter; this way, it won’t occupy much horizontal space. Keep a few cookbooks and a vase or a bucket of fruits to make the counter look aesthetic.

Keep A Cute Mixer

I always keep the mixer on the counter as I use it every 2-3 hours. So a nice-looking mixer that goes well with my kitchen decor works for me.

Choose the mixer that matches your kitchen decor. Even if you leave it out in the open, it will work as a statement piece.

Add Natural Elements On Countertop

If you love natural elements, this one is for you. I experiment with plants I keep in the vase. During fall or Spring I keep seasonal flowers, and on other occasions, I keep branches in the vase

Wooden stools go well with the branches. The brass light on the top is a nice contrast to the white kitchen decor.

The plant with flowers on the other end brings greenery into the kitchen. Don’t keep too many things on the counter.

Opt For Marble Tiles Countertop

If you don’t have a specific countertop look in your mind, then go for a marble tile countertop.

It always looks fresh and new. The cleaning process will be so much easier. The glossy look will enhance the glam quotient of your kitchen.

Don’t leave the counter blank. It will look boring. A mixer is nicely kept in the corner. Keep a fruit basket and a tray. You have enough space for chopping.

Arrange A Few Cookbooks On The Counter

It is much easier to cook something if you have a cookbook in front of you. It looks impressive and shows that you like cooking.

Only keep 2-3 cookbooks on the counter; keep other cookbooks in the cabinet. Otherwise, the counter will look cluttered. Keep the cookbook on a cookbook stand when you make a recipe.

Keep A Spice Rack On The Counter

A cute spice rack will not only make spices easier to locate but will also enhance the beauty of the countertop.

Now, cooking will be more interesting than ever. It is a welcome addition to the kitchen countertop decor.

You don’t have to keep things on the counter just becuase you see others do it, if you want a plain counter this will look good too.

But if you just keep a statement piece, it will look even better. This star-shaped bronze sculpture acts as a fashion statement and gives a nice contrast to the white countertop.

Color Coordination Is The Key

You don’t want a rainbow-colored look in your kitchen decor. Everything has to be aesthetically done.

Keep the vase, chair, flowers, and decorative piece color-coordinated. It looks chic. You can also give a contrasting effect. Keep a vase with colorful flowers on a white marble kitchen counter.

Get Cute Utensil Holders

You can either buy utensil holders or use mason jars as utensil holders. These mason jars are painted with Dixie Belle paint. The vinyl lettering is my favorite part.

It’s like giving a personal touch to your creation. Keep the utensils according to the jars allotted to them.

Opt For Wooden Cutting Board

You require a cutting board all the time in the kitchen. The wooden cutting board looks earthy and it really gels with any kitchen decor.

Make sure you have different sizes of boards and you can use them as per your need. Lean them against the wall so that they don’t use any horizontal space in your kitchen.

You can also hang them on the side of the cabinets.

Coffee Station Is A Must

If you are a coffee lover, then a coffee station is a must on the kitchen counter. The first thing in the morning I need is a cup of coffee, so I have dedicated a special area at the corner of my kitchen counter.

I keep a coffee machine, a set of coffee mugs, sugar and coffee at the corner of the kitchen counter.

Decorate With Fruits And Greenery

Sometimes less is more. If you have a beautiful kitchen island, even if you keep simple things on it, it will enhance the entire kitchen decor. In the picture above, there is a vase with greenery and a bowl of fruits and yet it looks astonishing.

The best thing is you can change the fruits and greenery and replace them with other fruits and it will again look different and fresh.

Keep It Clean

A counter also looks appealing if it is cleaned properly. In the image above, you can see that there is a bowl of fruits, a couple of cutting boards and a towel on the counter, but since the area is clean, it looks impressive.

A white marble countertop always works. You can use other materials or other colors also but a white countertop is evergreen.

Nothing beats fresh flowers as a kitchen decor. It always works. If you are someone who doesn’t like too many things on the kitchen counter, just keep a flower vase.

Always keep a fresh set of flowers; it keeps the ambiance positive. Keep changing the flowers with every season. This will break the monotony. You can add a bit of greenery as well by keeping a plant on the counter too.

This is one of the best kitchen decor as it is a hybrid of industrial and country-style decor. White marble countertops make the kitchen look elegant.

The kitchen counter looks clean and aesthetic with a couple of plant vases. The vase is also in white and blends smoothly with the countertop.

A striped rug is nicely rolled out on the wooden floor. The dark gray cabinets do full justice to industrial decor.

Install Floating Shelves Above Counter

You want to keep the kitchen counter clutter-free, but you also don’t want to bend down every now and then to pull out utensils from the cabinet.

So what is the solution? Here comes the importance of floating shelves. Install floating shelves on either side of the stove.

Keep coffee mugs, cups, and small soup bowls there. Accessorize the shelves with decorative pieces. Keep a plant vase on opposite corners of the kitchen counter.

Use Colorful Kitchen Curtains

The kitchen is well decorated with vases and nicely set up with fruits as well. For keeping things interesting, hang colorful kitchen curtains.

This will be a nice contrast to the sober kitchen counter and will enhance the overall kitchen decor.

I can’t stress enough how adding different layers of greenery will have a positive effect on your mind.

Apart from keeping plant vases, vining plants will make a huge difference to your kitchen counter decor. A few of my favorite vining plants are string of hearts and string of bananas.
