Clutter Free Laundry Room
For a long time, I ignored my laundry room and never ever felt the need to organize it, but one day, I was looking for something important, and I could not find it. After searching for a couple of hours, I managed to get it. Phew! Since then, I have decided no matter what, I will always keep my laundry room organized. Let me share with you the best laundry room organization ideas I have learned.
If you were like me, or if you want to make your laundry room organized in a better way.
Laundry Room Organization
Opt For Open Shelves To Keep Cleaning Product

You can install this open shelf and keep all your cleaning products there. It will be much easier to find them when you need them.
To make it look interesting, you can accessorize with plants, frames, and decorative pieces. I like the floor tiles too.
Install Wall Dryer Racks

This does not need any floor space; just mount the rack on the wall, and when not in use, you can fold it.
You can hang your washed clothes there and let them dry. Your laundry room, apart from clean supplies also needs an iron board and an iron.
Get An Organizing Rack

This magnetic organizing rack can be fixed to the side of your dryer, and you can keep slippers, towels, or any other items.
This will save space in your laundry room. You can also keep a roll and a broom.
Keep All The Cleaning Tools In The Closet

You can keep all your cleaning tools, like a vacuum, mop, broom, and other items in the closet.
It looks so organized and decluttered. This is one of the best laundry room storage ideas. The other option is to install a mop holder on the wall.
Plan For Storage Space

If the storage space is planned correctly, then there is space for every item in your laundry, and it will look clutter-free.
The drawers, laundry hampers, and shelves provide enough storage space. You just have to allocate space for them according to your laundry space.
Install A Rod To Hang Clothes

Install a rod in your laundry room and put hangers to hang your clothes. This will not require any floor space.
It is one of the best ways to organize laundry. The shelf above the washing machine is properly utilized. It is well accessorized with greenery and also has enough space for towels and detergents.
Install Hooks For Jackets And Coats

Installing hooks in your laundry room will make it easy for you to hang bags, coats, dog leashes, jackets, and hats.
When I come from outside, keeping my jacket or coat is always a struggle because they are not clean anymore, so I just can’t keep them in my closet, so the best place is to keep them in the laundry room.
I like multiple cabinets in the laundry room. Everything will be hidden, so it looks clutter-free and more organized.
Label The Baskets

It is a clever idea to label the baskets and sort clothes. You can keep the dark-colored clothes in one basket, whites in another.

The wire mesh baskets are ideal for keeping your used clothes. Mount the mop on the wall. You can also mount your ironing board there.
Use A Towel Organizer
You can keep your clean and dirty towels in the towel organizer in separate racks. It is easy to access and looks organized.
Keep A Slim Rolling Cart To Keep Cleaning Items

Keep a slim rolling cart to keep your cleaning supplies. Pull out the rolling cart to grab detergents and then push it back.
The cart has multiple racks, so use a specific bathroom item per rack. It will be convenient for you if you place it near your washer.
Keep High Shelves

Use the space above the washing machine to keep the laundry stuff. That whole space will be properly utilized.
The shelves should touch the roof and should have enough racks to keep your laundry items.
Keep the items at the very top, which you don’t use regularly and the essentials at the bottom as you can reach them easily. Keep a stool to reach the top shelf. I like to use a telescoping ladder as I used it for my garden and to clean the ceilings.
Integrate Kitchen With Laundry

I don’t enjoy doing laundry, and I don’t think anybody does, but we have to do it, so why not integrate it into a place we like to be in?
Yes, kitchen. On one side of the kitchen, you can do chopping, cooking, and enjoy your culinary skills; on the opposite side, do your laundry.
It can be a multipurpose task: turn on your washing machine, let it do its work, and meanwhile enjoy your cooking.
Go All White

You have to do chores. I know it’s boring, but there is no escaping it. Why not make it fun? You want to lounge around your living room, why? because it’s well organized and looks classy.
Do the same here. Give a makeover to your laundry room. Paint it white. Keep a colorful rug in the middle. Accessorize it with greenery and decorative pieces. Install a music player. Have fun and enjoy the chore.
Pull Out Drying Rack

The drying rack mostly needs the vertical space of your laundry room, and it is perfect for drying clothes. It looks classy, and of course, it’s functional.
The colors used in the laundry room make it even more elegant. The black countertop makes the laundry room sophisticated.
If you are in a rented apartment, you may not be allowed to replicate this, so you can use a foldable drying rack instead.
Make It Look Interesting

Doing chores is boring, I get it, but it doesn’t mean the laundry room also has to look boring? Use peel-and-stick wallpaper on the wall to make it look interesting.
Install floating shelves and accessorize them with greenery, statues, and decorative items. You can also convert it into a gallery wall or convert it into wall art.
You can play darts or install a TV to entertain yourself; whatever interests you, do it there while you do the chores.
Add Baskets

Install shelves with racks and keep baskets. Assign a basket for each family member. This way you will not mix the clothes.
Use Vertical Space For Storage

Make the best use of every inch of the laundry room. Install a tall cabinet. You will have ample space and shelves to keep towels, toilet supplies, and other bathroom essentials.
You can see above that it’s a tall cabinet with multiple shelves. It is well organized and has plenty of space to keep all the bathroom necessities.
Make Your Laundry Room Invisible

A lot of us don’t want to display the laundry machines. It’s best to hide them behind closed doors. Like in the photo, there is no separate laundry room.
The dryer and washer are stacked near the staircase and hidden behind a door. You can use the room you allotted for laundry for some other purpose, convert it into a kids’ room or gym, or a yoga room.
Hide Machines With Curtains

If you don’t have an option to hide machines behind closed doors, then hang a curtain. It will become your mini laundry room.
You can stack the washer and dryer or keep them side by side. This is a better idea than the previous one if you are a tenant, as in some places, tenants are not allowed to make any changes.
Install Cabinets

This is a great mix of open and closed shelves. You can keep cleaning supplies and tools in the cabinets. In the open shelves, you can keep detergents, iron, etc.
Keep mop, ironing board, and other tall items in the tall cabinet. The white wall tiles make the laundry room look cleaner.
Integrate Bathroom With Laundry

A laundry room requires a separate area, but not everyone has a big house, so they cannot allot a specific room for laundry.
So in this case, you can combine the bathroom with laundry. Stack the washer and dryer; that will save a lot of space. Use floating shelves for both bathroom and laundry items.
Give Your Laundry A Vintage Look

Most of the homes have modern laundry decor, and that is why they all look similar. Give your laundry room a vintage look with farmhouse decor.
You can see right from the cabinets to the stool and from the floor to accessories; everything goes well with a vintage look.
